Summer 2019

First let me start off by saying thank you for bearing with me as my family & I took some time this Summer to enjoy each other. Due to that, I have been active on social media & sharing little bits here & there in stories, but not much here on the blog. Make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post & don't forget your free travel bucket list printable.

Remember Sharing Is Caring, so don't forget to PIN or share this cute graphic with your friends & family! It would be a perfect Facebook, Instagram post or tweet.

everything is fine when there is sunshine

I love an impromptu trip, concert or getaway & as a family of 7 that can get expensive. How we make it simple is by using these tips below. I love to save without really feeling like I'm saving, so that's where the apps come in. Let's go through each of them.

Rakuten is an application + browser download that pays you to do the shopping you already do. For instance, If I was shopping at Walmart & had the Rakuten browser add-on it would tell me that I'd get 5% cash back on my purchase. In addition, it also runs all available coupon codes to get you the best pricing. They also offer double cash back, in-store cash back & discounts & cash back on travel & vacations.

Ibotta is another application similar to Rakuten, but it's for stores that sell groceries. Before you shop you would find the deals that you are interested in & select those. Then after shopping, use your receipt to redeem your deals & your cash back is deposited within 48 hours.

MEAL PREP & COUPONS

Let's chat meal prepping & coupons. I'm the type of person that will stop & grab fast food if I'm busy & haven't already planned something for dinner. Is that also you? Tell me it's not just me... A few post back, I shared how to plan out a month of meals in 30 minutes, here. You can save even more money by checking out what's on sale & catering the meals you make by using sale ingredients from Ibotta.

Digit is a total life-saver for us. This application's job is to make savings as painless & easy as possible, by researching your spending habits & saving a few dollars every couple of days. We are pretty tight with our money when saving, but digit was able to find money we missed & save that too! Plus, it sends these cute little texts when you reach milestones. I love it!

TIP YOURSELF

Tipping yourself this one is pretty cool! Think about a task that you absolutely can't stand doing, but an incentive would make easier. Then, come up with an incentive that will help encourage you to do it. Think about working out, if every time you went to work out you paid yourself a dollar & saved it you could save quite a bit. I like to splurge on cute t-shirts from, here like this one below.
